My friend went to go have the oil on his wife`s Ford Escape changed. Her car spit,sputtered,and made a smoke screen that would`ve made James Bond jealous the whole way home!!!!!!!! Well,the next day he took it to the Ford dealership that was right around the corner from their house. They drained like ELEVEN quarts of oil out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man,he called that place up who did the oil and let `em have it big time! The next day I asked a friend of my dad`s who owns a small lube shop here and he said her car would be fine. The only thing the extra oil would`ve done was look for a place to escape and burn off,which it did. They always use individual quarts to change oil,not the machines that pump from bulk like the place who changed her Escape`s oil. Your car should be fine James. Ya,do what everyone`s saying and if possible,always always do your own oil changes and in the event you can`t,watch and scrutinize with a microscope if you have to have it done somewhere. And if they don`t like you watching,tell them tuff s**t.
